SAN FRANCISCO REPRESENTED
AT THE 47TH NAASC CONGRESS
Past President & SIUSA Representative Jim Main represented San Francisco at the 47th NAASC Congress held in Montego Bay, Jamaica this May. During the Congress, a new NAASC was defined with the new name of North America Alliance of Skal Clubs. The exciting news is that after the great turmoil of 2006, the SIUSA board of 2007 under the guidance of Executive Director Mike Abbott has presented a totally transparent financial statement ending the year with a $27,000 profit. This balanced financial statement has been thoroughly audited by our internal auditors as well as a paid CPA firm's external audit.
With the succession of the newly elected officers, New York's Bobby Hussain was inducted as the new SIUSA president, succeeding Memphis' Bob Bader.
A complete report of the congress was submitted by Skalleague Main, and the minutes will be available shortly on the new SIUSA web site scheduled to debut May 31st.

Special sightseeing was arranged by the San Francisco Skal Club to introduce visiting Skalleaues to this fair city during their brief stop in San Francisco during the NAASC Congress aboard the ms Oosterdam, May 1, 2006. President Don McPhail, VP Terry Koenig, Joe Garvey, and Norman Onaga, braved the early morning dew to welcome some 500 Skalleagues as they visited the city. Ray Sargoni provided all of the sightseeing, and donated a special car for Skal president Jan Sunde, Phil Sims and Charlie Powers and their wives ably escorted by Anna Sargoni and Chris Spirandelli. This huge gesture of friendship was greatly appreciated by all.

San Francisco's show of support was abundant as all San Francisco delegates placed welcome signs on their stateroom doors, and similar signage at the base of the gangway repeted our warm welcome to all.
